A Pharisee priest, a member of the Sanhedrin, considered a master among the Jews. Without identifying himself, he usually gives alms to his blind brother Judas Thaddeus, rejected by his family. Although sincere in his faith, strictly fulfilling the religious demands of the time, he does not know the fundamental for salvation. He will hear the teachings of Jesus, and will assist in the preparation of His body for burial.
