She is the main character of the soap opera. She is the adopted daughter of Ana Luz and Pepe. She works in the Circus Don Pepe doing acrobatics. Her life becomes a mess overnight, when she discovers there is a mystery around her birth and she is charged for her father’s death, who she had never met. Maria becomes a fugitive of  the law and has to solve a conspiracy that involves the DNA Project, developed in Clinic of Human Reproduction Progênese, in Guarujá, coast of São Paulo state.
