He is a childhood friend and loyal companion to Samson. Heber is opposed to the hero of the story. He is a fearful and entertaining character; responsible of many funny bits along the plot. Although he is Samson´s only friend, he feels inferior to him, especially towards women and more precisely in relation to one woman: Samara, a friend of both in their village, but who´s heart belongs to Samson.
