He was born in Rio, but he’s lived in São Paulo since he was 10. When his parents broke up, he stayed with his mother. She got married again and moved with the boy to the gray city of São Paulo. Eduardo hardly ever saw his father during these ten years.

His father lives in Rome and they have a cold relation. As he grew up, he was determined to move back to Rio and to be away from the new family, which he disconsiders as his. His mother and stepfather had a daughter, causing Edward to feel unwanted. Due to this feeling, he would always pack his bags and run to Diamantina, only to return in the last day of vacations. When he was accepted to college in Rio, he immediately enrolled and decided to share an apartment with a childhood friend.

Eduardo is insecure and is constantly in need of people’s approval, but he never lets others notice this. He is charismatic and very seductive, he believes that in this manner he is solving his emotional issues.

When the engineering course begins, he can’t keep up with the rest of the class and finds out he has no vocation to be an engineer. He will change courses, but he has no idea of what to do, because he spent his life trying to get out of Sao Paulo. He now needs to make a decision about his future and does not know which direction to go.
