Doris is incoherent and bad tempered and in certain ways, naïve. She admires her sister’s beauty and wishes that she had been born with her physique. Even so, she is the muse to Ze Maria, a film student who also happens to be her mother Cremilda’s assistant. Whenever she’s around Ze Maria, she feels powerful and beautiful. She stars in all of his experimental films. She wishes to be a film star.
