The story begins in Nazareth, with Mary receiving the visit of the angel Gabriel, who reveals that she is the chosen one by God to generate his son, Jesus, fulfilling the divine prophecy of the birth of a new King. The situation is not seen with good eyes by King Herod, who fears losing power and goes on to persecute the young woman, her husband Joseph and the child who had just been born.
Jesus is created like any child of the time. Already an adult, he is baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River. After that, he remains a pilgrim, preaching the teachings of God and performing various miracles, and increasingly he gains new followers.
When he returns to Jerusalem, he is acclaimed by the people as King of the Jews, and arouses the wrath of King Herod Antipas, son of Herod, the Great.
Jesus is arrested by soldiers on the Mount of Olives, and sentenced to death. He carries the cross to the place where he is beaten, crucified and killed, barely thirty-three years old. Three days after his death, his tomb is empty, Jesus resurfaces, meets his closest disciples and ascends to heaven.
Born in Nazareth. Married to Joseph. Mother of Jesus. When engaged, the angel Gabriel announces that she will be fertilized by the Holy Spirit. Living in a society in which the woman is heavily discriminated against, Maria will be accused of being an adulteress, even threatened with death. She will face everything with courage and dignity. She will conceive Jesus as a virgin.
Son of God. Sent by the Father, he comes into the world as a man, for the love for humanity. He will break religious paradigms, going against the temple sellers, revealing who is, in fact, the enemy of humanity. He will face hatred, slander, persecution. Your mission will be to show everyone, men and women, that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Carpenter and master builder. Husband of Mary of Nazareth, step father of Jesus. Man of good character, strong faith, hardworking, honest and faithful. He deeply loves Mary, but, still engaged, he is very shaken to know that she is pregnant, doubting to be of the Holy Spirit.
Fallen angel, expelled from the sky. ‘Jesus’ main and powerful antagonist, counting on demons at his service. He is devoted to corrupting men and women, arising here and there, on the sinister mission of bringing chaos into the world. Angry with the coming of Jesus to the Earth, he tries to corrupt him, through promises of power and wealth.
Fisherman. Strong and pure man. Lover of truth and justice. Revolted against the Roman dominion. Stubborn, speaks without thinking. Bumbling and great swimmer. Widowed, he lives with his mother-in-law and his daughter, Gabriela, with whom he often argues because of his turbulent temperament.
Treasurer of Antipas, tries to lead the tetrarch to the best decisions. He will be one of the twelve apostles chosen by the Messiah. Besides being a good treasurer of the group, Judas is considered by his companions as a good, loyal, intelligent and educated man. But it has a weakness: ambition for material things and for power.
Born in Magdala. Hellenized Jew, widow of a Roman, returns to Jerusalem and becomes involved with the centurion Petronius. Jesus get rids of her seven demons. She becomes His disciple, following Him and serving Him with devotion. She will witness His sufferings, His judgment, His condemnation, death on the cross, and resurrection.
Relative of Jesus. Announces and prepares the way of the Messiah. A brave man of great faith. He baptizes the people in the waters of the Jordan River, stating that the Messiah will baptize with fire. He accuses Herodias of committing adultery for leaving her husband to live with his brother-in-law Antipas.
Sister of Lazarus and Martha, Mary of Bethany is among the closest friends of Jesus since childhood. She will devote herself to the ministry of the Messiah, being attentive hearer of His teachings.
King of Judea. Submissive to Rome, obeys Caesar's orders to remain in power. A cruel, insensitive man. He suffers from a disease that causes pustules on his body. With moments of fury, he is always suspecting of conspiracies and betrayals, fearing he will be murdered. In one of his paranoid delusions, he orders his beloved Marian wife to be killed.
Roman. Governor of Judea, at the time when Jesus was crucified. Firm man. To keep order, he is capable of ordering massacres. He despises the Jews and hates living in Jerusalem. Loses patience with ease. His fury is contained only by his wife Claudia, whom he admires, loves and respects.
As a child he witnessed the execution of his father, burned at the stake, by the sentence of Herod, executed by Petronius. As if that was not enough, her mother is sold as a slave, in which he finds himself obliged to take care of his younger brother. Invaded by hatred, by the thirst for vengeance, he becomes leader of the rebel movements against Roman command.

More than 350 professionals were involved for the super production in Morocco, with more than 200 recorded scenes.
5000 Bottles of water per day were consumed by the team due to the strong Moroccan heat.
20 Climatized trucks were used for production, figurine and makeup.
