She’s the widow of João, mother of Tomás, Beatriz and Guga. Vilma is a beautiful and elegant woman, but with no ethics. She was born in Tinguá, but, nowadays, she lives in Urca with her children and her father, Dionisio. She is not tender with her children. She criticizes Beatriz for not having any ambitions in her life and Guga for being so “imaginative”. She thinks that he is a problem child. Tomás is her partner. Others do not know what she is capable of. She feeds in Tomás the desire for revenge for João’s death.
