He is Aurélia’s uncle and the great villain of the story. He seems to be a honest merchant but his business is involved with smuggling and prostitution.  He is a hard and cruel businessman who knows how to be loving when necessary. He will risk Aurelia’s happiness and fortune. He also oppresses Glória and threatens all those who oppose to him.
