Artur’s mother and Gregório’s first wife. Her son is her only motivation to face the obstacles of life. She kept the secret of Artur’s real father for years, but upon seeing that her son wouldn’t give up his plan to take revenge on his father she reveals his actual identity.
Committed against her will in a psychiatric hospital, she ends up addicted to controlled medication. The only strength she has left is her passion for teaching. She gets a job as a Portuguese language teacher in the private school Priscila Schiller, in Petrópolis.
The math teacher, Dante – with whom she is in constant conflict, criticizes her. She loves her students, as if they were her own children, and fight to protect Cícero from child labor imposed to him by his father.
