An Israelite. Father of Moses, Miriam and Aaron.

He likes to tell Miriam and Aaron`s children about his people`s ancestors: Abraham, Jacob, Isaac and, especially, Joseph, who was the governor of Egypt in a time of great prosperity for the Hebrews.

He teaches his children to have faith in God and not get corrupted by the pagan Gods. He risks his life so Jochebed can save his son and gets gravely wounded.
