Counselor to the King, he is extremely ambitious. Aman is a descendent from the Amalekites, the historical enemy of the Jews, whom he vows to exterminate.  He is evil and has a thirst for power.  He acts as the King`s faithful squire whilst planning his death in the background. He is married to Zeres with whom he has ten children, two of whom we meet.
