“LA BESTIA”, A DREAM OF A LIFETIME… BUT AT WHAT PRICE?

The Record TV team followed, for 21 days, families who crossed Central America clandestinely, fleeing poverty and violence from armed groups, heading to the United States. A long and dangerous journey on the so-called “Death Train” or “La Bestia”.

Each year, 150,000 people defy death on its tracks, a challenging journey that begins on makeshift rafts on a river in Guatemala.

The migratory route is dangerous and leaves deep marks on the families that remain. Many disappear along the way or are kidnapped by Mexican cartels. Hundreds of people await news of relatives who left, with the clothes on their backs, in search of the American dream.
