Record TV started its transmissions on September 27th, 1953. The first program aired was a musical program hosted by Sandra Amaral and Hélio Ansaldo.

Over the years, Record TV became the network that has mostly contributed to the evolution of Brazilian Popular Music. Currently, Record TV is the second TV network in Brazil, reaching excellent ratings and increasing its market share.
